Breastfeeding, Ect.

And the breastfeeding continues

So, week one is now over. For me, I have lost a full 30 lbs. I cam breathe again and I feel as though I am walking on a cloud. My body is recovering much faster than it did with Sawyer (mind you his delivery was much more harsh, 8 stitches, broken tail bone and hemorrhoids).

Babies are doing well. Every day is different so it’s too early to find a routine. Sansa is having trouble feeding, she doesn’t eat as well as June. She has trouble latching and she falls asleep while eating which makes it tough to feed them both at the same time. It takes way more time but I prefer to feed them separately. Not only do they eat better but I get to tickle their toes and kiss their little heads. Sometimes I have no choice though if they are both crying at once.
Guilty as charged. Yes I have been giving them some formula to help them sleep at night so I can at least get a few hours in. I am happy that they will take formula and a bottle which was a mistake we made with Sawyer. I am also starting to pump although I don’t have anything significant saved up yet.
Still trying to find the time to outline the delivery before its completely gone from my mind. Hopefully soon.

About Shannon

I am a university educated full-time working mother of four children. Proudly Canadian, I freeze my butt off along with my loving partner, two dogs and a cat. I hope you enjoy reading my posts as much as I love writing them, but if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all.
