Nursing and pumping

Well, the girls are now two months old which means I have been breastfeeding for two months. In the beginning I never thought I’d last this long. It’s definitely more.challenging with two, and I already didn’t like breastfeeding one (even though I did it for nine months). I am a very active person and sitting around nursing all day is simply against my nature. But I understand how important it is for the girls. Plus I get to burn off the baby weight and save mucho dinero on formula. And on the bright side, at least this time I have my smartphone to keep me entertained!
As for pumping I do my best, but there isn’t much left to pump. If I have to go out we usually give them formula, and I don’t go out very often. I am trying to be more diligent with my pumping but for me it’s time consuming and with three kids and two dogs vying for my attention I just don’t have time.
So, the moral of the story is you CAN breastfeed twins, even if you have other kids, are over 30, a vegetarian…insert excuse here. It makes me sad to think that there are women out there who don’t even try and just go straight to formula with twins. Never place limits on yourself because you never know what you can achieve.
