Comments from the public.

I guess I am crazy or just new at this, but so many people on my multiples board complain about the comments made by the public when they take their twins out (and they are partly right, some of the comments are pretty ignorant).

Me, I can’t wait to take the girls out! Maybe I am just an.attention whore! LOL I don’t know, I always wanted twins and getting them was a miracle. I would not find it offensive if someone saw me and said how they always wanted twins. Yes, I will admit the notion is probably more romantic than the reality, but there is nothing wrong with that.

As for Yeh silly questions, well I got enough of that when I was pregnant. I don’t think people mean any ill will, they just say some stupid things, not realizing how they may be interpreted. Let’s face it. Even with ART, twins are still a rare, mystical and wonderful occurrence and so people want to see them. Since my girls aren’t identical they will never be that much of a spectacle, especially once they get older. However I am so proud of myself for carrying them and raising them, I think I deserve a little shock and awe when I take them out. I guess we will have to see if my opinion changes in six months!

Im the meantime I am looking forward to showing them off to the world, now if the weather would only cooperate! (We had a snowstorm today, so much for spring!)

  1. “I think I deserve a little shock and awe when I take them out.” Absolutely!! 😀 I think you definitely have the right way of looking at things! I’ve never cared for describing ANY child as trouble, so “double trouble” wouldn’t be cool with me, but like you said, people mean well. ❤
