About Shannon

I am a university educated full-time working mother of three children and expecting #4. Proudly Canadian, I freeze my butt off along with my loving partner, two dogs and a cat. I hope you enjoy reading my posts as much as I love writing them, but if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all.

    • It really helped me when I was ttc. I was so focused on the outcome I was missing out on life. Instead of enjoying my days I was wishing them by until the next test or treatment. All the sudden it dawned on me how much time had passed me by, and I realized it’s not just about the destination, it’s also about the journey.

      • I know it’s really hard, but nothing in this world worth having comes easy. I had to go through a year of trying and medications and ultrasounds and tests. I was injecting myself with needles and missing work and so depressed. I know so much about reproduction, I could teach a course on endocrinology! LOL You have been able to get pregnant several times before so I am sure it’s just a matter of time.

When I got pregnant with my son I used the clearblue fertility monitor (and joined the group on baby center). After months of trying it worked the first time. Then I recommended it to a colleague and after a year of trying she got pregnant first time. Might be something worth looking into.

        Cheers, Shannon

      • No, things sure don’t come easy, do they? Thanks for the encouragement. 🙂
