Fun Fact Friday: Saving Money with Facebook

image

It wasn’t until I was at lunch with a friend a few weeks ago that I realized I barely use Facebook for keeping in touch with friends. Instead I use it for everything else!

As I have written before a great way to save money is to subscribe to your favourite stores and then they will email you when they have sales and send you special promotions. Well, Facebook is similar.

Last week I liked a series of different products and in doing so qualified for a bunch of FREE samples ranging from Tide Pods to John Frieda haircolour. Free is definitely my preferred price! LOL

I also subscribe to a variety of feeds like women freebies and save.ca that let me know about ongoing promotions and when new coupons are available. It means I can know where the best deals are without doing all the work.

Similarly, by liking certain companies they keep you up to date on new products and promotions.

I also subscribe to various parenting sites like Today’s Parent, which give me all kinds of great parenting advice, tips and tricks and of course some humourous ecards.

Oh Facebook. I recently complained about you frenemie, but I am here to say I still love you! 🙂
