Making The Cut: Going From Long to Short Hair pt. 2

For Part 1 click here.

While it would be virtually impossible to show every haircut I have had in the past 10 years (and there have been a few) , I still wanted to give you an idea of what I tried before.

Today, I was aiming for an angled, stacked bob. She didn’t quite angle the cut as much as I would have liked, but I think once it grows out a bit I will get it trimmed with a steeper angle. I am also working on what to do with my bangs. (Three out of four stylists have said they think I look better with bangs, but I am thinking about growing them out). I have to say though, she did the best job on my bangs ever! Usually they always cut them heavy and straight across, but she made them light and fluffy which is actually making me like them again. Surprisingly, I can still put it in a ponytail with only an elastic band (no clips or pins needed) which is handy.

BEFORE

(Note my wicked stroller shoulders in the back view hehe.)

I still have to colour the faded ends and play around with the style. I am so excited because there are so many options to style it now rather than just curl or ponytail. Thanks to Jen P. at Donato Salon at Don Mills for giving me this great cut.

  4. That’s a huge cut. You’re very brave to cut that much off at once!!

  5. I love it! Currently, I attempting to grow mine out which I am laying blame on being in my best friend’s wedding. It surprises me how little the boys actually pull and tug at my hair…and here I thought I would never be able to wear it down in their presence.

  6. So cute! It’s not as short as I was expecting. Love the flashbacks too. So many cute styles.
