11 hours in a car with kids….

Haven’t done this yet, but here are some great ideas for roadtripping with kids. I think planning and organization are the key to success here…and maybe ear plugs lol

Have I mentioned before how much I love my kids? Well, I love them even more now! I was really worried about the drive from Melbourne to Adelaide, in one go, with 2 young kids in the back. Would they get sick? Would they get bored? Would they whinge? Would they fight? They answers are yes, no, no and no! We left home in the wee hours of Saturday morning, with the hope of putting a few hundred kms and several hours behind us before the kids would be fully awake. Theoretically that worked, but they only really dozed rather than going right back to sleep. We breakfasted after about 2 hours and our one and only spew happened as we pulled into the McDonalds carpark! Hubby had it all planned out with scheduled wee/meal breaks, but it was easier to just go with the flow and see how everyone was…
