Hair: Well I decided I wanted to go blonder and boy did I ever (I will be reviewing the products on The Thursday Review). However, Daddy wasn’t thrilled because he pointed out that beach blonde hair doesn’t really work when you have no tan. Oh well, let’s hope the sun comes out soon.
Glasses: The girls have scratched my glasses to bits. So, thanks in part to my health coverage, I now have a new pair. I decided to go with plain black retro geek sheik. I like plastic frames because I find them very comfortable and black goes with everything. I also think they make me look a bit younger (tee hee). I was able to get Transitions lenses on these, and I have to say, WOW! What a difference. Totally worth the extra $100.
Nails: This month I am lightening it up with a shimmery rose gold colour. It is just slightly pink making it girly enough to feel awesome, but metallic enough to pretty much match with everything.
Florals: Nothing says spring like flowers, and I picked up this gorgeous satin blouse at Winners with my Christmas gift card. It was a little pricey at $29.99 but it was regular $70 and I do consider it an investment since this is a piece I can wear for years.
Shoes: I picked up a great pair of slouchy boots on clearance at Marshalls for $12 (same giftcard). They are great because they look great with jeans, cords, or even leggings. Comfortable and fashionable, and with just the right amount of heel.
Plaid: Yes, sigh. Since winter is lingering and I have been wanting a plaid shirt because they are warm and cute, I picked this one up on clearance at Old Navy for $6.
Keeping my fingers crossed the weather warms up and April’s report is about t-shirts and skirts.
