My (Former) Twin Baby Bump

image

My growing twin belly

I was cleaning out my closet today and felt a little nostalgic sorting through some of my old maternity clothes.

Sure I was carrying around an extra almost 60lbs at the end (not pictured) but I enjoyed every last minute of it.  This picture goes from 13 weeks to 36.5 (I was induced and they were born at 38+4 at 7.5lbs and 6lbs). It makes me laugh that I am standing crooked just to hold up my belly.

I really am blessed.

Today I am down to 119lbs and look like my normal self (minus the pouch).

  1. I love bump pictures! I gained 60lbs with both my babies(I am 5’2″ and about 112#) but I had them one at a time! Everyone said I was all belly but really how is that possible? It was kind of fun being such a spectacle.

    • I loved it! I am 5’5, 115lbs normally. I gained about 45 with my son (which was a bit much) but with the twins I literally was all belly! I lost 30lbs the day I gave birth. Couldn’t even cover that thing with XL maternity clothes but yes I did enjoy being a spectacle πŸ˜‰

  2. Awwww…..I love these! My daughter was home from college last night and I showed her some of my maternity pics and we both got all giggly and teary eyed at the same time
I am your size (when not pregnant)…I couldn’t have imagined carrying twins. I was the size of a house with just one (and did NOT belong on roller blades!!)
Thanks for posting these…I hope you have a wonderful and restful weekend.
    xo

PS: your words were so kind on a previous comment of mine. YOU must be a ray of light in many people’s lives, too πŸ™‚

    • Oh wow. I can only imagine looking at these pics when the girls are all grown up. What an achievement you have made in raising your kids. I hope you give yourself a pat on the back and have a very happy Easter πŸ™‚

  3. I was just feeling a little nostalgic about my pregnancy too as mine are about to turn one. I looked like I had a beach ball under my shirt πŸ™‚ I gained 44 lbs myself and we were lucky to make it to 38 weeks.
